Huddlersfield, England – A local man has spent the past few days in a wheelchair after he was hit by a vehicle.
The incident happened at a house in Derbyshire, England, early on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened in the Derbys, Derbys County Council’s emergency services said.
The driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital with minor injuries, but no arrests have been made.
A Huddiersfield Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the incident happened just before 7:00am.
“We were called to a fire at the address in Derbs County Council, Derbs, Derbies, Derby,” the spokesman said.
“A man was in a chair, and his leg was broken and was bleeding.”
The man was taken to the Derby Royal National Hospital and treated for injuries.
It is not known if he will require further treatment.
Police said the driver of a white vehicle had been travelling northbound on Derbys Road at the time of the accident.
Derbyshire Police said the road was closed in both directions due to the accident and the road remained closed for about an hour.
