The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is a federally regulated, independent, nonprofit agency charged with enforcing the laws and regulations governing consumer products.

The CPSC has the authority to enforce the law regarding the manufacture, sale, use, transportation, and storage of consumer products and to monitor the safety of these products.
